ir. Jan-Evert van Veldhoven (MSc) is a senior wastewater engineer at Waterschap de Dommel (Netherlands). He is also chairman of the Dutch phosphate group that operates for the Dutch waterboards initiative Resource Factory.
Jan-Evert holds a Master of Science degree in Environmental Technology of Wageningen University (NL). He is working on innovative projects related to sludge digestion, thermal hydrolysis, renewable energy, manure treatment, extensive N and P removal an emerging substances.
In Tilburg he initiated the project WWTP as an energy factory. This WWTP becomes energy neutral and has a surplus of 3 mln m3 biogas. In this project phosphate is being recovered as stuvite. Recently he has been working on manure treatment, operational WWTP optimalisation and development of main stream ammonium recovery.
